Many may think that baking around the campfire is difficult or requires special pans. While I would not put a pan with a nonstick surface on the campfire because it will probably be destroyed, a basic cast iron or aluminum pan will do the trick just fine. Baking products on a grill or campfire gives the food an amazing taste. You can cook almost anything that can be cooked in an oven or on the stove on a campfire.
The nostalgia of sitting around an open flame, enjoy the company of friends and family can only be topped with some delicious cookies or cakes. They are easy to whip up, and cook in no time at all. Why go to all the trouble of making the fire and grilling to hot dogs if a pot of beans were not added to the mix.
Does this all sound too difficult? Well it isn’t. A simple metal grid a pan and a little effort is all that is necessary to grill up yummy treats and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Simply use a couple of cinder blocks or sturdy green sticks to prop the grate above the flames. Then place the cake pan, cookie sheet, or other pans on top of the grate and get cooking.What’s 1 more click?
